Pałac w Bejscach
The Pałac w Bejscach, also known as the “Little Belweder”, is a gem of classicist architecture located in the Świętokrzyskie region. Built in 1802 at the request of Marcin Badeni, the palace was designed by the outstanding architect Jakub Kubicki – a student of Dominik Merlini and the designer of the Belweder Palace in Warsaw.
This illustration presents the front elevation of the neoclassical palace – one of the most valuable examples of residential architecture in Poland. The artwork faithfully captures the building’s symmetry and monumental portico supported by Tuscan columns, topped with a triangular pediment bearing the inscription: “Praca Nadała Spoczynek” (“Labour Bestowed Rest”).
