This illustration shows “Mała (small) PAST-a”, the smaller of the two historic PAST buildings on 37 Zielna Street in Warsaw. The building was constructed in 1904-1905 as a telephone exchange for the Towarzystwo Akcyjne Telefonów Cedergrenand (Cedergren Joint-Stock Telephone Company), was designed by Izaak Gustaw Clason. Built in an eclectic style, it combines elegance with the functionality of a modern office building for its time.

The name PAST-a comes from the first letters of Polska Akcyjna Spółka Telefoniczna (Polish Telephone Joint-Stock Company) which took ownership of the building after 1922.

Today, “Mała PAST-a” stands as a symbol of Warsaw architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, reflecting the city’s technical development and urban elegance of that era.
