Dwór Obory

Nestled in the picturesque Jeziorka Valley near Konstancin-Jeziorna, the Dwór Obory is a fine example of Polish residential architecture with Baroque roots. The manor was built between 1681 and 1688 for Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski and was likely designed by the renowned Dutch architect Tylman van Gameren, who worked for the Polish aristocracy. Originally Baroque in style, the residence came into the hands of the Radziwiłł family in the 19th century, who modernised it by introducing classical elements.

This illustration presents the front façade of the manor – modest yet noble. The central part of the single-storey façade is marked by a three-axis pseudo-risalit framed with pilaster-like elements and crowned with a triangular pediment, preceded by a terrace.
